Intertextile Apparel shakes up global sector with new trends, innovations across three business-driven days in Shanghai

Shanghai, 26 March 2026. Faced by both trade and travel uncertainty, Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition 2026 nevertheless delivered strong results, with participants praising the platform’s leading role facilitating sustainable innovation, digitalisation, trends, and trade in the international apparel textile sector. Over 96,000 visitors from 119 countries and regions explored the offerings of over 3,000 exhibitors from 11 to 13 March at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), where in vogue, high-potential textiles for SS 2027 were clearly demonstrated. Beyond the booths, various fringe events and product displays presented vital platforms for many new materials and process improvements to reach a wider audience.

Intertextile Apparel: fringe events mirror market-driven exhibition themes as show opens this week

Shanghai, 9 March 2026. The evolving market has inspired much of what’s on show from 11 to 13 March at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition, set to feature over 3,000 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions across seven halls at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Beyond – and in some cases integrated with – the exhibition space is a fringe programme encompassing the Intertextile Directions Trend Forum, a range of topical seminars and panel discussions, and several in-demand display areas. The various fringe events reflect the four themes presented across the extensive show floor: fashion forward, performance textiles, sustainability, and textile future.

From natural fibres to patterned fabrics, Intertextile Apparel’s key pavilions and zones demonstrate industry’s global range

Shanghai, 23 February 2026. The international textile industry is preparing to gather for one of the season’s biggest sourcing events – Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition 2026. Over 3,000 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions will showcase from 11 to 13 March across seven halls at the National Exhibition and Convention Center. The industry’s diversity, readily apparent across the fairground, is especially prevalent in the International Hall. Within the hall, while featured zones such as SalonEurope, Premium Wool Zone, and Verve for Design are usually well visited, its pavilions will also be strong draws for fabric buyers. Group pavilions include those from Ecocert, KTC, and Lenzing, alongside country and region pavilions from Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Türkiye.
